First things first: Yes, 4 of 13 clips on this film have been accelerated (by about 20%). I too hate when mountain bike videos speed up the footage to look more !extreme!, but I wanted to show what it feels like to race down flagstaff. The acceleration and speed you are capable of on this mountain is addictive. Where the film starts we are at 39 and we topped out at about 51 mph.

This is a 5-mile road that winds down about 2200 feet into Boulder, Colorado. There are lots of steeps, lots of corners, and unfortunately lots of cars this Sunday afternoon. Luke, Nick and I are up there because it was my birthday and for my gift I asked to be shuttled to the tops of my favorite trails and roads.

Enjoy the wind...
