Race 24 Hours of Moab >    >   >  > >> Show me

350 teams of 4 race a 15 mile loop through the hot afternoons and the sleepless cold night. The race starts noon on Saturday and ends noon Sunday after riders finish their current lap. This film is the 2001 race with team Sleepless in the Saddle. We completed 16 laps and placed 69th of 167 teams in the Men's Sport division. This was much better that the previous race (with the same members) where we finished 2nd-to-last after being sponsored by a brewery...

The course mostly follows double track road but there is still lots of technical fun to be had on the loop. Most people regard any lap under 1:30:00 to be a nice pace.

Many people have asked me about the music behind the film. It is from Peter Rowan's nashville-style rendition of "No Woman No Cry".

I suggest viewing these videos by right-clicking on the link and "Saving Target As". Save it to your computer and then watch it. This way you are sure to have it play smoothly.
